Company Overview:
We’re partnering with a fast-growing U.S.-based EdTech startup focused on law school preparation. Their online tools teach critical thinking—not memorization—and their approach has helped hundreds of students excel on one of the toughest admissions tests in the U.S.
Now they’re ready to level up their internal tech. You’ll be the first in-house technical hire, replacing a patchwork of contractors and agencies with your own smart systems and scalable solutions.
Your Role:
You’ll take the lead on maintaining and improving their core web platform (built in Bubble), while planning for the long-term evolution of the tech stack. This role is fully remote and offers a high degree of ownership. You’ll work closely with the founder and a small operations team, shaping the product and technical vision from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the current Bubble-based web app: fix bugs, improve performance, and launch new features.
Maintain and update an older custom-built web app (used for reporting).
Manage and optimize Airtable-based automations and Zapier integrations.
Troubleshoot and support internal tools across teams (ops, content, product).
Contribute to landing page updates and website projects.
Evaluate when and how to move parts of the stack to custom-coded solutions.
Serve as the internal tech expert and go-to problem solver.
You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in technical or fullstack roles.
- Strong familiarity with modern web tools—especially no-code platforms like Bubble, Webflow, and Airtable.
- Solid understanding of frontend/backend fundamentals and system design.
- Experience working on MVPs, internal tools, or early-stage products.
- A product-oriented mindset: you care about users and usability.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Self-direction, problem-solving ability, and a proactive attitude.
- Experience working remotely and independently.
Bonus Points:
Experience in a startup, agency, or scrappy, fast-paced environment.
Comfort working across product, marketing, and engineering tasks.
Past work on tools used by students, educators, or content teams.
Ability to consolidate or replace agency work through more efficient tech solutions.
